Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 17, 2026

Cain, Inc., a Delaware Corporation ("we", "us", or "our"), operates the following mobile applications:

  • Cootie Catcher
  • Sentencr
  • My Pet Dino

(Collectively referred to as the "Services"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Services and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy and your use of the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States. Any legal action or proceeding arising under this Privacy Policy will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Ada County, Idaho.

2. Types of Data Collected

A. Account and Identity Data: We use Google Sign-In (via Firebase Authentication) to authenticate users. When you sign in to our applications, we receive the following information from your Google account:

  • Your Google display name
  • Your Google email address
  • A unique Google-assigned user identifier (UID)

This information is used solely to provide you with a persistent account so that your game progress, purchased game modes, and balances are retained across sessions and devices.

B. Usage Data and Analytics: We use third-party tools (such as Google Firebase and Google Analytics) to monitor and analyze the use of our Services.

  • Data collected: Internet Protocol address (IP address), device type, operating system version, crash logs, and the features of the application that you visit.

C. User Generated Content: If the applications allow you to create or share text (e.g., collaborative stories):

  • Storage: We store this content on cloud servers (e.g., Google Firestore) to facilitate multiplayer functionality.
  • Retention: Data is temporary. Game lobbies are typically deleted within 24–48 hours after a session ends.

D. Purchase and Entitlement Data: We store a record of the game modes and features you have unlocked in your account profile via Google Firestore. This is tied to your Google UID and ensures your purchases are available even if the app is reinstalled.

E. Approximate Location: Our analytics and payment providers may collect coarse location data (based on IP address) to ensure tax compliance and provide regional app features. With the exception of the 'My Pet Dino' application (see Section 4), we do not track your precise GPS location.

3. How We Use Your Data

Cain, Inc. uses the collected data for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate you and maintain a persistent account across devices.
  • To restore your purchased game modes and balances.
  • To facilitate real-time multiplayer gameplay.
  • To improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
  • To process and validate in-app purchases.
  • To comply with applicable tax and legal obligations.

4. Data We Collect to Run "My Pet Dino"

When you play "My Pet Dino," we collect specific information required to provide the augmented reality (AR) and location-based gameplay experience. This includes:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a user-generated handle/username to secure your account, save your in-game progress, and facilitate cross-device logins.
  • Location Data (GPS): The core gameplay of "My Pet Dino" relies on real-world exploration. We request access to your device’s precise (fine) and approximate (coarse) location data. This is strictly used to render the in-game radar, spawn Dinosaur Eggs in your vicinity, and verify your proximity to objects.
  • Camera Data (Augmented Reality): To catch Dinosaur Eggs, the app requires access to your device’s camera. Please note: The camera feed is processed locally on your device in real-time to overlay 3D AR elements. We do not record, store, or transmit your personal photos, videos, or live camera feed to our servers.
  • Gameplay & Tracking Data: We track your in-game movements, interactions, inventory (such as collected dinosaurs), and app usage data to optimize gameplay, balance the ecosystem, and provide customer support.
  • Purchase History: If you purchase our in-game virtual currency ("Amber"), we retain a record of your transaction history to validate purchases and manage your balance. We do not process or store your credit card information; all financial transactions are securely handled by Google Play Billing and our secure receipt validation provider (RevenueCat).

How We Store and Protect Your Data: Your gameplay and account data are securely transmitted and stored using industry-standard encrypted databases (including PostgreSQL and Google Firebase). We do not sell your personal gaming data, location history, or email address to third-party data brokers or advertisers.

5. Advertising

We may use AdMob by Google to display advertisements in ad-supported versions of the Services. Google uses cookies or unique device identifiers to serve ads based on your interests.

6. Payments and Purchases

We use Google Play In-App Payments to process transactions. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to track and validate your purchases, associating them with your Firebase UID to ensure you retain access to purchased content.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with the following vendors solely to facilitate our Services:

  • Google Firebase (Auth, Database, Analytics)
  • RevenueCat (Purchase verification)
  • Google AdMob (Advertising)
  • Google Play (Payment processing)

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request the complete deletion of your personal data and account at any time. To do so, you can submit a request through our Contact page or contact us directly via email. Upon a verified request, we will permanently delete your profile and disassociate your account data within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

10. Compliance with US Privacy Laws

We respect the privacy rights of all US users, including those in California (CCPA/CalOPPA). We do not “sell” personal information as defined by the CCPA.
